In this solution, global positioning (GPS) receivers in each vehicle receive satellite data, which is then relayed via a wireless wide area network to the corporate local area network (LAN) or to a third party service provider. A supporting software application can track the vehicle in real-time from the corporate LAN or the vehicle itself.

In this solution, trucking cargo is scanned upon delivery or pickup with a handheld data collection device. The data is transmitted over a wireless wide area network (WWAN) back to the corporate local area network (LAN). Specialized software records critical information such as the customer and location where the package was picked up or delivered.
